Lucien and Dahlia can’t stay away from one another, so, why fight it? Giving in to their feelings, they vow to start anew. However, a surprise visit from Lucien’s mysterious cousin, Selene, puts a damper on the passionate reunion.
Who is this disarming woman? Is she like Lucien, something … different? And why is she so set on getting Dahlia out of Lucien’s life?
Faced with Selene’s disapproval, Lucien finds he is forced to unveil more of his power to Dahlia, thus placing her in a perilous situation.
The Laid Bare story continues, but not without a cost to all those involved.
Volume 2 of the Laid Bare novella series
Steamy Romance/Paranormal Romance
3 ½ Heart rating: Good Book
3/5 Sensuality: There Is Sex, but Nothing Explicit
3/5 Heat: Sizzling
In this second installment, we pick up from exactly where Exposed: Laid Bare Volume 1 ended. Dahlia and Lucien are trying to figure out if they have a future.
I enjoyed this installment more than the first one. Maybe because we get more answers and we’re not left totally in the dark. Finding out what Lucien was made sense and I liked it. He wasn’t what I was suspecting but I liked that twist.
I am still curious about him and now his cousin, Selene. I really liked the scene where Lucien tried to transfer his energy to Dahlia, then having it back fire on him was interesting to watch. I want to know more about the butler. He seems like an interesting character.
Still, I couldn’t help but feel like information was being glossed over. Like if only it was a few more chapters longer….
This is why I shouldn’t do novella’s, i’m a sucker. In one sense, the author baby fed us some information but there’s more questions that need answers. And just when I felt like I was really getting into the novella, it ends >_<
AGH!
However, the author once again has pulled me in, much like the lure Lucien had on Dahlia, and I want to know more. I need to know more. On to the next installment: Spellbound: Laid Bare 3 XD
After months of hiding their engagement to promote a farcical PR relationship tied to Cameron’s new movie, Sarah is struggling to remind herself of the benefits of the plan – if only she can make it that long. Having just about reached their breaking point, Cameron proposes a romantic weekend away to re-connect with one another but their boss has a better idea: a two-week trip away from the prying eyes of Hollywood and the PR team’s aggressive gossip machine.
Once out of the Hollywood spotlight, Cameron reverts back to the loving, attentive man Sarah first fell in love with and idyllic days spent hiking, biking, and surfing lead to sensual nights wrapped in each other’s arms. But when a gossip columnist viciously pegs Sarah as “the other woman,” they’re forced to acknowledge the reality of their situation. Vowing to beat the studio at its own game, Sarah and Cameron openly flaunt their relationship, knowing their actions may mean giving up the careers they both love.
With help from some new friends along the way, Cameron and Sarah re-discover what matters most as they work to find their happily ever after.
*NOTE* This is the third and final part in the Her Confessional serial. Parts 1 & 2 must be read first before reading Part 3.
Her Confessionals: Making Of A Star #1
Her Confessionals: Our Little Secret #2
4 Hearts/5: Awesome Read.
3/5 Sensuality: There Is Sex But Its Not Explicit.
4/5 Heat Rating: Scorching.
In this final installment to Her Confessional series, Cameron and Sarah have agreed to keep their relationship a secret. In turn, Sarah’s boss has bribed promoted her to an assistant producer which comes with a bigger paycheck and more perks.
Playing For Keeps started very emotional and intense but with the given circumstances, I mean, WTF. You could feel how frustrated Cameron and Sarah were with their situation. Not being able to control anything, not being able to experience the Hollywood life style together, not be able to go out and celebrate Cameron’s new life changing role. I understand how frustrated Sarah must of been and how painful that would be to see her man prancing around with another girl. And her mother, lol, omg.
When Sarah and Cameron got to get away to Vancouver, you could literally feel the tension slipping away and I liked that. I liked seeing them being sweet with one another and playful and carefree, like a normal couple. I thought the sh*t was going to hit hell when they were spotted and then the gossip around town. I mean sure it exploded but it wasn’t as bad as I had thought.
Cameron and Sarah did a good with letting everything come out and of course someone had to pay but at the end of the day, the had love. They had each other. I will say, in this final installment you could also feel the love Cameron had for Sarah, more so then in Our Little Secret and Making Of a Star.
This novella was a sweet end to a series!

*** PUBLISHER’S ALERT: MATURE CONTENT WARNING ***
Recommended for ages 16+. Includes scenes that depict drug use, self-harm, teen sexual situations, and sexual assault.
This book contains mature content and depiction of a seventeen-year-old girl’s rape at the hands of another student. It is a chilling, first-hand fictional account of an incident – the likes of which occurs across the country at parties just like the one depicted in this story - and one we wanted to feel as raw and as devastating as incidents which occur in real life. We also understand that these scenes may be difficult and uncomfortable for some. We recommend this novel for readers ages sixteen and older.
“I cried, praying for him to finish. I closed my eyes and tried to envision myself somewhere else… somewhere where I was happy. I thought of my family all piled around our tree on Christmas morning. I thought of singing with my band. I thought of Caitlin and me baking cookies and watching movies together. But after just a few seconds of pretending, Mike would hit me or thrust deeper, and I would be back in reality. I was being raped. I was all alone. I was a damsel in distress. And there was no one there to save me.”
3 Hearts/5: A Good Book
3/5 Sensuality Rating: There is sex, but not explicit.
*SPOILER ALERT
Barren, oh my god, what a book of emotions.
In this full novel we met Stacey, she’s in high school and has a typical high school experience of boys, friends, drugs, insecurities and whatever else comes along with being a teenager. A teenager especially in this day and age.
* Warning this book does have trigger warnings
Stacey has been through a lot. She’s going through changes from the beginning of the book and she has her problems like almost every teenage girl. She has her ups and downs and reading through what happened to her was hard. Stacey was trying to find her way, trying to find out who she is and why a guy who she really likes doesn’t like her. Why was she raped? She had normal questions, like was it her fault, did she do something, wear something too slutty?
Stacey had problems, on top of problems and high school was the least of them. After a while though the throwing up stopped and she now developed cutting her self, another problem developed after the rape. And lets not forget that Stacey would sleep with anything that would show her any kind of attention. I was literally screaming at Stacey for most of the book because of her decisions. I mean I get her decisions, Stacey had demons, big bad ass demons but still, I felt bad for her.
Boys, I felt should have been the last thing from her mind. Instead it was like she drowned herself in them. In the first half of the book, there were maybe two love interests and by the 50% point there was a new boy like every chapter. All these boys from school, all these boys calling her pretty but of course she doesn’t see it because of her insecurities. All these boys wanting a little more from Stacey who can’t deliver because she’s not their mentally and emotionally.
Physically Stacey is experimenting heavily with sex. All these new, mixed emotions since the guy who raped her took her virginity. All these feelings she had to work through by herself and I get how scary that would be for her.
What I didn’t like with this book is that Stacey told many of her peers that she was raped and no one really tried to push her to talk to someone. No one pushed her to report what happened. Maybe this Mike does that at every party he goes to then disappears. Even her best friend and everyone else around her acted like this wasn’t a big deal. News flash, Rape is a very big deal and this book, Stacey and her friends pushed it under the carpet.
I mean no one out of all the twenty people that she informed of what happened, mentioned anything about her reporting it. That just confused my brain. The only reaction she got was her band members who said that they would find him and kill him. And Stacey was content with her band members hypothetically stringing Mike by his dick and beating him.
And then don’t get me started on Devan. I don’t know why Stacey liked him, he was an asshole and even after she told him what happened and they kissed, I thought okay…. But then he takes her to this house party, gets Stacey drugged up, drunk, then leads her into a backwards room and commands her to go down on him. Like are you kidding!?
And since Stacey has no sense of self worth, she does it. I was so livid at that point. Oh and Devan, the shit face, asshole was the only guy, or only person out of the 100 people who knew and told her that she should get help. But once again he said it in such an ass hole way, that even I felt really bad for her. He showed barely any compassion for her situation.
This book gives you a lot of drama and keeps you interested enough. Like for me, I wanted to know if there was light at the end of this long, long, dark tunnel. Was Stacey gonna wake up and realize her mistakes? Was she finally gonna talk to someone? I thought maybe her sister would find out and force her to talk to a therapist and get her help. I mean I was begging the author to give me something and then one of Stacey’s boyfriends die.
Near the end Stacey finally tells someone who will do something about everything and that is her mother. Mother’s know best. And then I guess we’re kind of fast forwarded to a time and place where everything is semi-okay. Stacey is going to a therapist and she has finally chosen one guy and is settling down.
It would have been nice to actually see her changing, verses the author telling us that she has changed. I think the book would have had a bigger impact for me.
Stacey dealt with a lot of serious triggers that a lot of girls deal with in real life. The friends didn’t take certain situations that serious, except for Devan… maybe.
Don’t hold it in, talk to someone!

Write to me is about Gloria, a woman whose husband has died and while in a book store she finds this letter. Gloria reads it and falls in love with the poetic words written on the paper and she even reads it so much that she can recite the letter by heart.
Now we have Bryan, a college professor who doesn’t want to settle down and finds love and things of a sort simply stupid. However when Gloria and Bryan meet in that same book store and Bryan is hanging out in the same section where Gloria found that letter, she thinks she has found the author.
Gloria so caught up in the beautiful words that have captured her heart, wants to believe that Bryan is then man of this profound work and asks him. Bryan accepts the sappy letter despite him not believing that one should lay their soul bare and vulnerable, in the way that the author had done in the letter.
Let the games begin.
Gloria was a sweet character, awesome mom and owner of a hair salon. She was a very strong character and that I loved. You knew where she stood from the very beginning and she went after it. However where Gloria faltered with me, she fell in love and can recite this love letter written by a person totally unknown. She not only became really obsessed with the letter, reading it every night, she indirectly in a sense, fell in love with the author. She fell in love with his heart and soul. With his ability to splatter his emotions unto a paper.
Bryan he was an ass hole from the moment we met him. His intentions were pretty clear but the more they interacted the more he softened up to Gloria. I will admit, things moved really fast between the two, maybe a little too fast. But then again, that’s love for you. You never know when love is going to strike.
I thought Gloria forgave him a little too easily. I mean Bryan lied to her about the letter, then he lied to her about Courtney and why they broke up. He even went to her and asked Gloria to help him write a letter to get Courtney back. That’s a lot of lies and the faking of emotions, because he had to come across as sad and heart broken. For me that’s just too much manipulation. There’s a line.
I felt like I needed more. The novella felt too short and if there was more background to support the characters, maybe I would have liked Bryan more. Maybe I would have felt bad for him and his past. His reasoning behind not wanting to settle down is explained, but it was too short for me to care.
I honestly thought that Bryan didn’t deserve Gloria, after all that she’s been through to find that jerk. I’m kind of annoyed that she forgave him so easily but I thought the ending was really sweet (I don’t want to give it away.) I thought that was really heart-felt and I get why she forgave him(just a little). Bryan bared his soul, vulnerable for her to see and in the end he learned what true love was about.
I don’t think he deserved her love and I hope Gloria makes him work his ass off for the lies and manipulation.

5/5 Heart Rating: I loved the book, the story line and characters =)
2/5 Sensuality Rating: There was sex but behind closed doors.
2/5 Heat Rating: There sexual chemistry was sensual.
What if the one time you didn't want love was when you truly needed it?
Forced to flee her abusive ex, alone with no support, Elle is determined to rebuild her life and protect her five-year-old son. Not one to take the easy road, she opens a bookshop café, but opening day almost ends in disaster. In the midst of this chaos, the last thing she needs is a man as charming as George Jones getting in her way.
George has always been a sucker for a damsel in distress, and Elle ticks all the boxes. But Elle's not interested in being rescued by anyone, especially not him. She knows her taste in men can't be trusted, but fighting George's charisma is harder than she expected. And George, who is not one to ignore an itch, has found there's something about Elle that's got under his skin.
When Elle's ex turns up to cause trouble, George must overcome his boyish flirtatiousness if he's to convince Elle to trust herself and let him into her life. But can
Elle put her past behind her before it overwhelms her present?
Under The Cover was a sweet story that I instantly fell in love with. Now this book being the third in the series, that didn’t mean anything. It wasn’t like I was confused and didn’t know what was going on. Under The Covers was a stand alone novel.
Now as I digress, Under The Covers was about Elle, a mother who has ran away from her abusive ex-husband(boyfriend) Dean. She lives a few cities away from the farm that Dean’s parents owned in hopes to start a new life. Elle opens a little cafe to help support herself and her son, and wants help from no one. Especially not from a group of strangers who help her out on her grand opening, noticing that Elle in over her head with all the customers.
George is included in that group of strangers who helped Ellie out and he is instantly attracted to her, and vice versa. But with leaving her ex a few weeks ago, Elle is in no state of mind to be taking on a relationship any time soon.
Poor Elle is broken and scared, and the last thing she needs is for a surprise visit from her so called mother-in law. That visit springs forth drama to last until the end of the book. I did not like the mother-in law, I would have lit her a*s on fire if that was me.
Dean, my god. He’s the scum of the earth and he doesn’t deserve Toby.
George, I didn’t see him as flirtatious(Well, in this book). I saw that he had good intentions for Elle. I never once questioned his motives or any of his actions. I did however worry for Elle the entire read. I wondered how in her state she would handle George and his feelings for her. At times I wanted to yell at her because George only wanted to help and she was shutting him out(For good reasons) but still.
I loved how sweet and patient George was with Ellie and his understanding was unmeasurable. I found it cute that although he had kids of his own, he was very kind to Toby. Omg, I died with laughter when George was trying to explain different kinds of ‘Liking’ when it comes to kissing and Toby twisted that into George wanting to ride Ellie, like a horse. Hehe. I mean he did, but it was cute. I had to tell my husband that one.
I’m happy Ellie got a good man and a good group of friends. My heart broke at the end when George wanted to go to Ellie but he was unsure of her feelings. I really felt for the man.
I will admit, I thought the ex would have caused more trouble near the end. I guess I was expecting more of a BANG to end, but I’m satisfied with the way everything worked out.

A sexy novella where things are not always as they appear. Enter the Laid Bare world only if you dare.
There’s something about Lucien Chambers. Something beyond his amazing success, his good looks, and his uncanny ability to turn everything he touches to gold.
In the eyes of the world, Lucien is a sexy and savvy business man. But when a naïve photographer, Dahlia Vaughn, is hired to take pictures of the hot entrepreneur, she discovers Mr. Chambers may be much more than what he seems.
Volume 1 of the Laid Bare novellas
NOTE: Exposed: Laid Bare is a short read of about 86 pages. Included in the back is the first chapter of the next volume of the Laid Bare series, Unveiled: Laid Bare, as well as intro chapters to two of S.R. Grey's other novels. Paperback includes intros to three novels.
3 1/2 Heart rating: Good Book
4/5 Sensuality: Not Exactly Erotica But Still Hot
3/5 Heat: Sizzling
Exposed: Laid Bare was an easy read but I felt like there was something missing. This very short novella, starts off Dahlia who is suppose to photograph this ultra billionaire Lucien for a magazine and no one has ever gotten any good pictures of him. So of course Dahlia being a professional photographer is intrigued and jumps all of the opportunity. Things move very fast between the two, which leaves you with a WTF moment. As well as Dahlia, she was very confused how Lucien handles it all.
Laid Bare was an interesting read and left me wanting to know more about Lucien. His actions in the beginning was very sexy and ultra steamy in the way they got together and the control he has over Dahlia is mysterious. I want to know more. Lucien was written in a very interesting way, and I want to know more about him as well. I want to know more about him and his secrets. I just want to know more in a general but I think if this novella was a little longer, I would have have been satisfied enough.
I was confused with the scene at the club, I won’t say anything about that because I don’t want to give too much away.
I found Dahlia a little childish throughout the story and I felt bad for her lady parts. My god that man has a stamina.
Overall, Laid Bare has intrigued me enough to see what Dahlia and Lucien have in stored for their future.

Author Note:

Beautiful Regret. My, oh my...
I read the first installment and I will say that Rhyme has topped the first one. I mean, I really enjoyed the first one and I had no idea where the author was going to take the story but I loved every minute of it.
So, in this installment we continue from where the 1st installment left off and that’s us finding out that Ivy has a brother. A brother, from a past that her mother tried run away from but like that saying goes, ‘Your past will always catch up with you, no matter how hard you try to make it go away.’ Well, it wasn’t Ivy who tried to runaway, it was her mother but still, you get my point.
Now years later Ivy’s half brother wants to make contact but it makes me wonder, why? Why now? Sure, maybe he couldn’t get a hold of her but then again did he even try? I will admit that I wanted to know more about Ivy’s brother and I am a little disappointed that there wasn’t much more about that in this installment.
Jax, oh sweet Jax. I love him. He’s such a sweet guy and he had my heart melting. I understand from Ivy’s perspective why she wanted space from Jax, even though I willed her not to run from him- not to leave him. Did I mention that I really love Jax? He has stolen my heart, much like how he swept up Ivy into his ocean blue eyes.
Don’t get me started on their sex scenes. They’re hot. Not over the top. Not too much sex, just the right amount, with the right touch. Its friggn sexy.
And oh boy, that last scene had me screaming at the computer. I have love/hate feelings toward the last chapter. It’s sweet the way Jax treats Ivy, they way he interacts with her. You can feel his emotions for her and you can feel that even though she’s hesitant, Ivy feels strong emotions for him as well.
I mean in one sense, I’m like wanting them to get married and skip straight to their happy ending but then the cliff hanger happens. I’m then i’m like, WTF!
NOOOO!
I also have a love/hate relationship with installments. They drive me crazy and to tell you the truth, most installments I simply stop reading them after a while. But Rhyme Devereux has done a wonderful job and I can’t wait to read Beautiful Regret Part Three.
She has found a new fan =)

Rhyme Devereux is an adult romance writer. She is married with children, and two dogs living in Pennsylvania. After turning … a certain age, Rhyme realized that she’s a late bloomer (and wears that label with pride). Her passion for reading transitioned into writing romance books to share with other readers. When she’s not writing or daydreaming about characters, and plot twists, you can find Rhyme being a housekeeper, tutor, chef, referee, loving mother, and wife. And if she has some spare time, you will catch her lying in bed wearing holey pajamas, while reading a good romance or mystery-thriller. Thanks for wanting to get to know Rhyme better. But by far, her books are much more exciting.

Author: Humble Nations
Publication Date: August 12, 2015
Genre: Science Fiction, Alien Invasion, First Contact
Purchase On: Amazon
Forget the ‘Fermi Paradox’, we’re not alone and we’ve been visited. Visited by a new book from the celestial body that is Humble Nations. Presented as eighty-two whimsical funny little tales he speculated what it would mean for mankind if we were to be visited by aliens. The silliness of the writing shines like little stars from every page.
Eighty-two contacts fired off in under 25,000 words.
MAY CONTAIN: Adult humour and anal probing.
NOT SUITABLE FOR: Children, asinimophobics, or those of a serious disposition.
It was my first time reading this author and it was interesting read. It was out of my genre to what I usually go toward but all in all I didn’t mind it.
Alien Baggage Allowance is about Aliens and them coming to earth. Its funny, has its dark humour which had me laughing, and smiling at some of the jokes. The book poked at us, as humans and how aliens would(maybe) perceive us in the eyes of a whole other species.
Most of the chapters began with ‘When they arrived,’ and each chapter was a different encounter with an alien. Either the human’s perspective and sometimes the aliens. The book wasn’t annoying with every new chapter was a complete different scene. It was very entertaining. Some chapters were longer than others and I mean, they were short, like a couple of sentences short but that didn’t bug me.
I found some of the alien encounters funny. Especially the questions the aliens would ask the humans. They would be really silly, like about humpty dumpty or why don’t all the humans look a like. The aliens had a hard time understanding why we did, what we did. I found it funny how the aliens chased around the butterflies, I don’t know why I found that funny. I just did =)
There maybe some chapters that might come across as offensive but all in all, I enjoyed Alien Baggage Allowance.

Valentina “Vale” Zamora is all but dying inside after witnessing her fiancé, Jason, with one of his alluring business associates. Vale’s crippling insecurity only skyrockets more when the woman taunts Vale with talk of an ongoing affair and the stark reality that Jason will never be satisfied with just one woman.
Emotionally devastated and confused, Vale makes the heart-wrenching decision to call off the wedding and fly to South America to clear her mind and process her feelings.
The past betrayal by her ex-husband still haunts her, leaving her questioning whether Jason might leave her as well. Vale cuts off all communication until she’s ready to face the situation, but Jason tracks her down and shows up unannounced at her hotel. Deep down, she wants to trust him, but can their fiery love survive the myriad tests still on the horizon? Or will their collective pasts be far too much to overcome?
In this 3rd installment, I didn't like reliving the past of Jason's experience with Vale.
Bringing us back into the present, I know that Vale has some serious insecurities, but what happened with Jason and Maria, I mean come on Vale and put some things into perspective. Jason pulled away, she witnessed everything for Christ sake. Her getting pissy with Jason I didn't understand. Who cares about the past. Hence, the past is in the past. Ask the appropriate questions and move on, or not. Vale accepted that he was a prince of porn and with that, she’s accepting that he may, or may not have a past. I felt her running away was very immature. Deal with the situation first, then put Maria in her place, then deal with your fiancé. Not run away.
I thought it was very cute, when Jason sent Vale the text 'I want you, I need you, I LOVE YOU, I had to see you, I am here.' I have officially fallen in love with Jason. I love him. He's such a sweet guy and has such good intentions when it comes to Vale. I can't help but to love him.
Vale's ex husband, I only hate him more. He's a selfish little bastard and playing all these cruel little mind games on Vale, is just awful. I mean, that's just over the top cruel to the lie Vale figured out. My jaw literally dropped. I was happy that Vale had put together that big lie.
I found Jason's jealously a little over the top. In fact from the the very beginning, from Yummy Addictions he was like an extreme case of jealously. I couldn’t understand it at all, but it guess it just boils down to Jason loving Vale. I was worried throughout the series that his extreme jealously was going to go in a dangerous direction but I’m happy how everything concluded.
Their wedding was very cute and over all, it was a good enough read for me to complete it all in one sitting.

Vale Zamora gave up on love and passion when her bastard husband left her for a stripper—and then she encountered self-made millionaire Jason Cooper and her body woke up. Just being near him made her pulse in places she didn’t know existed. But that was Paris, a fantasy world where love and lust are temporary bedfellows; now she’s facing her everyday life in Miami, and she can’t figure out how to move forward. And, as if Vale’s emotional insecurities don’t complicate matters enough already, fate steps in to confuse things even further—pushing the new lovers apart before they seemingly have a chance.
Following up the ravishing Yummy Addictions, author Belle Davis dives further into Vale’s erotic escapades in her latest novel Yummy Temptations. As hot and steamy as a Miami beach and as multilayered as Mexico City, this tantalizing story undulates with rising intensity as Vale strives to reconnect with the only man who’s ever made her feel the heights of passion. But is Jason too good to be true?
For fans of Sylvia Day, E. L. James, and Jodi Ellen Malpas, Yummy Temptations is a contemporary erotic romance about one woman’s sexual exploration, experimentation, and awakening.
Reading Yummy Temptations #2, I couldn’t get into it like I did Yummy Addictions #1.
In the second installment, the author continues off from where Yummy addictions #1 left off and I really liked the twist with what had happened to Vale. Although, I felt as though what Vale had been through and how she recovered felt kind of rushed to me.
The sex scenes were too wordy for my liking. However, I still really enjoyed Jason and Vale. From the first installment, I was pretty close to what I was suspecting that Jason did, career wise. I understand Vale’s insecurities when she found out about Jason and her reaction was a realistic one. I really enjoyed how protective Jason was with Vale. You could feel his emotions and hers, with the authors words.
But still, there were parts that seemed rushed. The last few chapters where Vale and Jason are at a club and non stop drama keeps following Vale seemed over done. I mean, sure, it could happen, maybe. I think that Vale’s bastard ex husband deserves to be thrown off a cliff. He’s an asshole and I wanted Jason to put him in his place many times. I was happy that Vale slapped him. I wanted to shout at him, on behalf of Vale. Her ex husband should feel very low, that his wife was able to get a porn prince as her boyfriend. I think that says a lot about Vale. She knows what she’s doing to keep a man like that.
Overall, Jason and Vale are still a sweet couple and I hope I enjoy the 3rd installment more.

The 2nd installment to Her Confessionals I enjoyed very much. In Our Little Secret, Sarah and Cameron start their relationship off with a nose dive into the heavens. Both have confessed their love for each other and caught up in their feelings Cameron asks Sarah to marry him.
Okay…Wife and husband…Sure why not? They’ve been friends long enough. But friends and lovers are two different ball games. Plus Cameron also got that big movie deal, that’s like a dark cloud following them and well, Hollywood romances can become complicated. Sarah knows this but is willing, for the sake of love, to give the man who she has loved in the distant, a good fighting chance.
Can you say ‘Honey moon stage’. I can sing it loud and clear because that’s what thought when Cameron proposed. They’re having wild monkey sex, non stop and confessing how much they love each other. ‘Honey moon stage‘.
Love is a bitch!
At first I thought that Cameron was going to have other motives for asking Sarah to marry him. But by the end of this novella, I felt really bad for Sarah and Cameron. I felt their pain but at the end of the day, a sacrifice needs to be made. They need to both look at the bigger picture. After all, nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
I really enjoyed Our Little secret. It was hot and sweet. I loved Cameron’s sex stamina, lol. I can’t wait to see what’s in stored for Sarah and Cameron.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and let me say that I will definitely be reading more. Yummy Addictions was a sexy read and it pulled you right in. The author made me feel like I was right there in Paris. I want to go down to Paris and go shopping now, lol.
In this 1st installment to the Yummy trilogy, we meet Vale and Jason. Vale is a pretty Cuban girl, with curves and all. Her ex-husband did not appreciate her, which left her feeling very self-conscious about herself. Physically, emotionally, mentally and sexually. I felt really bad to how she was treated.
Now divorced, Vale decides to take a trip to Paris to splurge and enjoy some alone time. Maybe have a fling or two, then she meets Jason. The mystery play boy, and a guy she meet at party years ago when she was married. Fireworks takes off and its a hot and steamy, exciting vacation for the two of them.
Vale, I liked her but she had baggage that needs to be dealt. I was so excited for Vale when Jason showed up out of the blue. They had a lot of wild monkey sex and fun, but I didn't fully understand Jason's jealously. For barely knowing Vale he got jealous pretty easily, and even Vale noticed it but pushed it under the carpet. I liked Jason. I thought he was a super sweet guy but he's so mysterious. For the whole story I kept waiting for his baggage to be unloaded. To find out what does Jason do exactly, how can he manage to pay for everything and at the end with his boys, I thought it was all gonna come out but it didn't. AGH!!
This story was well written and I loved the characters, they were enjoyable. I can't to read on to find out what happens between Vale and Jason.
Sensual rating 4/5 Not exactly, erotica but still hot.
Heat rating 4/5 Its scorching.

Making Of a Star is a short sweet read.
Its written like Sarah was talking directly to you and telling you how Cameron and her met.
Cameron and Sarah have been friends for a while and slowly she starts to gain feelings for him. Of course she tries to ignore him and push those feelings away but one drunken night, changes everything. What Cameron did to Sarah, I could have kicked him so hard, his mama would feel it. Like who does that to someone and then not contact them back. Especially since she was your friend, not just a random friend, a best friend who knows you like the back of your hand. I really felt bad for Sarah and I probably would have ran him over with my car.
I liked the story because it was realistic and was a break from the regular fast paced other novella's i'm used to reading.
I like Sarah. She was a very down to earth gal and Cameron, they are both sweet.
For me though, I couldn't really get into the story all that much, because of the narration and it felt like the characters weren't development enough but I am curious to see where the author takes the story.
Sensual rating 3/5 there is sex but nothing explicit.
Heat rating 2/5 its sensual.

Drive Me Wild. Another dangerous read by Shari Slade.
I loved this 3rd part to the Devils Host MC Series. It was a more in-depth read to this exciting series. It was intense in every way possible and I read on impatiently wanting to find out what was going to happen to Noah.
In this 3rd installment you can tell that everything going on is slowly getting to Star, and she’s not appreciating how Noah treats her. Well, she’s hot and cold. Its a love/ hate relationship with the way he treats her. It annoys Star yet gets her lady parts all hot and achy, and the only thing to sooth her conflicting feelings is Noah. Him and all his muscles, and other sexy parts.
What is a girl to do? I feel her pain. I feel her confusion. I feel her torn at her decisions, her questions on whether or not she will live or die. Whether or not Noah will live or die. Whether or not Noah and her will have a future together. And whether or not her feelings for Noah are real or not.
Are her feelings love or lust? Noah took her away from a boring life and dropped her in a exciting chaotic world. Love or lust? Is it because they have wild monkey sex. Love or lust? Is it because he can talk to her in such a demanding tone, that should be embarrassing yet she gets aroused by his demeaning commands, and sometimes degrading actions. Love or lust?
What is it? And by the time Star figures it all out will she be alive?
At the end of the day, Noah gets her and vice versa. They’re quite a duo. They get each other going and know each other’s limits.
I like how you see a softer side to Noah, yet he still keeps his roughness.
At the end of this installment you find out whose a Rat, in the Devils Host gang and Star has to get to Noah fast, before its too late…
Exciting!
Can’t wait for the next installment.
Sensual rating 5/5 Its explicit.
Heat rating 3/5 its sizzling.

Break Me In is another fast paced, exciting read.
Continuing from where Ride Me Hard left off, Noah drags Star along with whatever it is that he’s doing. Drag, I use the word lightly because she went with him willing, despite his warning signs to stay away. Despite that he beat up the sheriff who was hitting on her. Did the officer deserve that beat down, maybe a little…but not to that extreme.
Star willing leaves behind a life where her landlord comes and goes out of her apartment as he pleases. An apartment that she can barely afford and a job that barely pays her to survive. She leaves her home behind with its broken door, barely hanging on its hinges to ride away into the sunset with Noah. Or ride straight to hell. Depends on how you want to look at it. Depends on how Star is looking at it.
Shit gets real serious, and the excitement that Star didn’t know she was seeking becomes all too real as Noah and his friend take Star to a club. This club is gritty and dangerous with drugs, naked women, random sex everywhere. In this scary club, Star’s flight or fleet responses are kicking in full gear. There, in all that trepidation building inside of her, she meets the big bad Dev. The one that Noah and his friend have been talking about repeatedly since before they left.
A little too late to decide flight or fleet Dev decides to use Star to get information out of Henry. I felt bad for her. I was a happy that Noah stepped up and wanted to do the lashings instead of Dev. I felt bad that Noah had to do that. I hated Dev because he knew, could tell how Noah liked Star. Dev got what he deserved.
The reason why I rated this 4/5 hearts is because I couldn’t get over the fact that although Star was beaten, and hurt she still wanted Noah to screw her. I have never been lashed before but I could only imagine the excruciating heat on her flesh. Then when she woke up all horny for Noah. Maybe Star has a high level of pain tolerance.
I like Noah. I’m intrigued to know more about him, his family and gang family. There’s more to the big bad biker than what meets the eyes. I’m excited to know about what happened to his sister. I want to know what will happen with what Noah did to Dev and I just want to know more!
Sensual rating 5/5 because well, its explicit. Yet again =)
Heat rating 3/5 its sizzling, but nothing more for me.

Ride me hard gets straight to the point and throws you right into drama.
Its a short, sexy read, with a very bad guy, who lets Star know what he wants and how he wants it. She is claimed by him and Star is willing to bend to his every desire. Star is attracted to the biker, yet scared of him and is intrigued to pursue whatever bumpy roads she will encounter with this stranger, despite all Noah’s warnings.
Star is more than willing to up and leave her old life behind for the excitement and wayward promises for something more. Something new, and fresh and Noah is the perfect Biker who has crash landed in her mediocre life and stir shit up.
Slade left me curious about Noah. He’s a bad boy. Who doesn’t love a bad boy? Especially bad boys with soft spots, lol. You can tell that there’s something there and I want to find out more.
I couldn’t give Ride Me Hard 5 stars, because I felt as though Star gave in a little too easy for me totally like her. But maybe the promises of something more, another life different from her own. I think Noah unleashed a rebel inside of Star, another side to her that she would love to explore. Interested to read book 2.
Sensual rating 5/5 because well, its explicit.
Heat rating 3/5 its sizzling, but nothing more for me.
